Case Study – Heathy Lea
Dawson Radford are delighted to have acted as legal representatives for Sally Bancroft on the acquisition of Heathy Lea.
Dating back to the 17th century, has seen many uses including game keepers cottage, small holding and more recently the home of the Duke of Devonshire’s agent.
In the grounds of Chatsworth Park, in the Derbyshire Peak District, Heathy Lea is the perfect unique setting for a wedding, luxury stays in their bed and breakfast or their self-catering cottages. The 360-degree views of the surrounding countryside and parkland are an excellent reason to book alone.
After the previous owners made the decision to relocate to France, Sally decided that she would love the opportunity to take over and has been pushing forward with many of her plans and ideas for its future.
Of the service received from Dawson Radford, Sally said, “I can’t thank everyone enough at Dawson Radford for all their help and support over the last few months. Buying a business is extremely difficult and at times stressful, however, the team couldn’t have done more for me. I can highly recommend their services.”
Dawson Radford specialise in business acquisition, whether that be by acquisition of shares or assets. We take the time to explain the process to our clients, whether they are first time purchasers or seasoned acquirers. We work alongside them and the seller’s solicitors in a collaborative way to ensure that important points are negotiated with care, and “lawyer points” don’t take centre stage. As a small but efficient team, we develop good working relationships with our clients, which extend way beyond the original acquisition.
If you are thinking of acquiring a new business, or growing an existing business by acquisition, speak with us before agreeing terms. We can talk you through hoe best to structure a deal, and the points you need to focus on during negotiations.
