Jo is a 10 years qualified solicitor, specialising in corporate and company law. She has spent 12 years in a regional firm in the East Midlands undertaking acquisition work, company restructuring, and shareholder agreements. She also deals with corporate governance, and Companies Act matters.
Jo’s loyal base of clients who instruct her because they trust her to get the deal done in a sensible and pragmatic fashion, whilst still ensuring that her clients are adequately protected. Jo takes time to explain the process, outline the risks, and enable her clients to make an informed decision. She is particularly noted for working in a collaborative way with other lawyers, to find solutions to matters that arise, and ensure transactions complete as quickly as possible.
Good relationships with other professionals is key, and Jo regularly receives recommendations from accountants, bank relationship managers, selling agents and other solicitors. Jo often acts for other solicitor’s practices who do not have their own corporate departments.
Jo has a reputation for health and social care work – acquisitions of care homes and day nurseries in particular. She understands the processes and the legislation in place surrounding acquisitions in this sector. Many of her clients are care home or nursing home operators, and this client base has grown almost exclusively through word of mouth recommendations.
She also has experience in dealing with manufacturing and engineering companies and service and maintenance providers – industries typical of the East midlands locality.
Born and bred in Sheffield, Jo is straight talking and no nonsense, often quoted as being the most down to earth corporate lawyer there is. She lives on the outskirts of Sheffield with her twin boys Jack and Harry.
Jean is a paralegal, assisting on corporate transactions and undertaking corporate governance work. She has worked for a number of well known and well respected law firms in the local area and has a wealth of experience.
Jean often assists Jo Dawson on larger corporate transactions, but also undertakes work in her own right. Jean deals directly with our clients who instruct us to deal with company incorporations, officer appointments, and other Companies House registration services. She also assists our Commercial Property department, dealing with property searches and Land Registry registrations.
Jean has spent time travelling and working in Australia, New Zealand and the USA, including Las Vegas Strip. She is now married and has two young boys.
Joe is a consultant solicitor specialising in property law.
Training at a high street law firm in Wiltshire, Joe then moved to the North East where he has worked for some of the largest firms in the area.
Joe has acted for clients ranging from individuals and SME’s to NHS Foundation Trusts and large Plc’s.
Joe’s detailed knowledge and understanding of property law is balanced with his commercial and pragmatic approach. This helps to ensure that his clients are not just informed of legal problems, but also commercial and practical solutions.
In his spare time, Joe is a keen sportsman. He enjoys playing football, golf, tennis and snooker.
Nicole was the first member of the Dawson Radford team. Her interest in HR has developed into her current role of Office Manager. Nicole is tasked with ensuring everything runs as it should on a day to day basis and making sure the team are happy at work.
At home Nicole spends most of her spare time running after her 3 young boys, and getting out in the fresh air with her beloved dog Milo.
As Business Development Manager, Sadie is responsible for strategy and deliverance of marketing campaigns, social media and event planning. She also develops and maintains the relationships with our clients and introducers.
When not running around after her three children at home, Sadie enjoys spending time with friends, organising get togethers and weekends away.
As Personal Assistant Laura manages the diary, scheduling meetings and appointments, is responsible for helping the Director maintain organised files, and dealing with the administrative roles for the Director, such as file opening, typing and accounts forms. Laura also liaises with clients and team members to help plan meetings and events.
Outside of the office Laura enjoys holidaying with her husband and two boys and socialising with family and friends. She is also a cleaning obsessive and is within a metre of her beloved bottle of Zoflora at all times!
As Junior Paralegal, Amad assists the Senior Paralegal and Solicitors on a variety of corporate and commercial property matters, maintaining files and undertaking legal research while also managing a number of matters in his own name.
Amad is a photography enthusiast and budding property developer. Due to his previous interactions with other CLO's he is also currently working on building a stronger working relationship with our lovable Client Liaison Officer Billy....we are sure they will be best friends in no time!
As Client Liaison Officer, Billy is tasked with welcoming guests into the office and maintaining our good relationships with clients during and after transactions.In his spare time Billy enjoys yoga - he is an expert at the 'downward dog' - and open water swimming
Stacey is our Employment Law specialist, from the drafting of policies, executive service agreements and settlement agreements to conducting of internal meetings, preparation and representation at employment tribunals and everything in between. With over 14 years’ experience, Stacey can assist with any HR and employment issues you have.
At home Stacey enjoys spending time with her husband, two young girls and their beloved cat, Alan.
